The 4 Cs: Community, Chaos, Communication & ConnectionCommunityCommunity was the beginning of biodanza. At the very start of biodanza we were a close group, involved in each other's lives and there for each other. Then this initial group dissolved and others formed. Some became stars and leaders, but the community was always bigger than the stars. To create community it is useful to remember what was happening in your life when you started biodanza and how this relates to your wish to share this methodology. What is your aim in biodanza? And what are you doing for this aim to be accomplished?
ChaosBiodanza started in Latin-America. It could never have started in the West or in the East, because there is not enough chaos there. Many people start biodanza when their lives are in chaos. A biodanza class is complete chaos. One of the building blocks of a biodanza class is chaos, absolute chaos. Biodanza is not orderly, and we need to be able to stretch to allow that element of chaos to come in. Chaos-order is a pulsating continuum, and we don’t need to be afraid of being in that pulsation. We need to accept chaos, that nothing happens as we expect, and not to judge anything. We cannot judge chaos, we can only make space for it. The connection to life, animality, purity, and essence doesn’t emerge properly but as a splash, which can be uncomfortable for facilitators. You are going to be uncomfortable. Chaos is part of the theoretical model. Some countries can take it, others can't. Class predictability is ok, but sometimes classes are completely unpredictable. Where do you find chaos in your group or in your classes?
Connection & CommunicationConnection and communication before and after the class: it is important to stay in communication with the people. Everything is nice when the music is on, but what happens to people when they go home? Do you message and email them? It is extra work but it is important to connect with people afterwards. Human connection is an important block, to care about people and the universe.

Thanks for sharing these notes as I was unable to attend the class. I think it's really important for the Biodanza community to support each other and help, encouragement and advice from experienced facilitators is really important when you're starting out and forming a group in a new place.
